What To Expect

Here’re a few things new visitors most often wonder about visiting a new church.

How should I dress?
There’s no dress code at City Light Baptist Church. Our ministry leaders dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress, but members of the congregation wear anything from a suit or dress to t-shirt and jeans. Our goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable here!

What kind of music may I expect to find?
We love inspiring music that honors and glorifies God. Our worship service is a great mix of contemporary Christ-centered songs and traditional hymns.

Do you provide a nursery?
Yes! We provide a nursery for ages 0 to 3. Our nursery is located near the lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly, professional nursery staff. Read more about our nursery care here.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
Absolutely not. We don’t invite you to church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to the Lord and to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Have other questions?
If you have any question, just give Pastor Matt a call at (636) 336-2605, contact us, or ask a greeter when you arrive. Whether you grew up in a church, momentarily lost sight of God, or have never stepped foot in church—God wants to embrace you on the journey of life. And we’d love to help light your path. We hope you’ll feel at home here and that your first visit (and every visit after) will be a blessing! We’re here to serve you and your family. Our goal is to share the truth of God’s Word and serve as a community where your faith can grow.
